The Board of Arena Theatre Company wishes to announce that Liz Grainger has stepped down as Chair of the Board after two years, having served as an Arena Director since May 2013.
The Board wholeheartedly thanks and congratulates Liz for her dedication and service, particularly her extraordinary stewardship of the Company’s financial governance which spanned a significant period during which Arena, with 50-year ties to Melbourne, relocated to Bendigo.
“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to be involved with such a remarkable company, and its people, and I look forward to following the next stage in Arena’s history, albeit at a distance,” Ms Grainger said.
Having joined the Arena Board in 2018, Barkers Creek resident Jon Anstey has been elected as the new Chair with immediate effect.
“Arena is a vital and vibrant theatre maker with a long and excellent history. I feel privileged to lead the directors of this company as we continue to make rich and meaningful, original theatre for children,” he said.
