The Arena Theatre Company Board is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors, Tom Wolff and Jon Anstey.
Tom Wolff has lived in Bendigo since 2012 and is currently a lawyer with O’Farrell Robertson McMahon and Vice-President of the Bendigo Law Association. He also has a degree in music and considerable experience as a performer in independent and student theatre. Tom is “delighted to be involved with Arena. It represents a wonderful opportunity as a local Bendigo voice to be a stakeholder in a theatre company with such a strong national and international reach.”
Jon Anstey has had an extensive career in law, finance and strategy both in Australia and overseas and is currently the Executive General Manager of Insight and Innovation for Coliban Water. He also has considerable experience working with organisations delivering innovative social outcomes and is “looking forward to working with a company which is so focused on transformational engagement with young people.”
“I am delighted to welcome both Tom and Jon to Arena” says Chair, Liz Grainger. “They bring a combination of skills, experience and commitment which will be invaluable as we grow the creative and community impact of Arena, and establish our new home in Bendigo.”
Established in 1966, Arena Theatre Company is one of Australia’s longest-running producers of theatre for young people. In early 2018 Arena took up residence at The Engine Room in Bendigo.
