Employment Opportunity: Development Manager

Looking for your dream arts job right here in Bendigo? Arena Theatre Co is looking for a superstar Development Manager to support the growth of the company in central Victoria. You will have the key responsibility of sourcing new income streams, including grants, philanthropy and corporate partnerships. You need to be a real people person, with the ability to engage and inspire people to support the great work Arena does in this region.

If you have demonstrated experience in a marketing or philanthropy role and a strong understanding of the not-for-profit sector, we want to hear from you. Bendigo artists – We want to hear from you!

Arena has recently moved to Bendigo and is committed to working with local artists from Bendigo and the surrounding region.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from performers, writers, production designers, lighting designers, sound designers, composers, digital artists, production managers, stage managers, set builders, costume makers, photographers and school workshop facilitators.


We don’t hold open auditions but do keep CVs and headshots sent to us on file. If you’d like to work with Arena as a performer, please consider inviting Arena to  productions you are performing in – your work is the best means of showcasing your skills to us.


When possible Arena takes on volunteers to assist on our productions and be involved in the ongoing work of the company. Volunteers can gain experience in arts administration, event planning, marketing, creative development and website management. Volunteers are supported and encouraged to learn new skills, develop industry contacts and have fun.
